Free SEO tools / llms.txt Checker
Enter a domain and this tool fetches https://<domain>/llms.txt, then checks that it is a real markdown file (not an HTML error page), that it starts with the H1 title the llmstxt.org format requires, that it has a summary and H2 sections of file lists, and that a sample of the links it lists actually load. Every failing check comes with the exact fix.

A markdown file served at /llms.txt that gives language models a short, curated description of a site and links to its most useful pages. The format is proposed at llmstxt.org: an H1 with the name, an optional blockquote summary, then H2 sections that hold lists of [name](url) links.
Adoption is not confirmed by the major AI search providers. Publishing a file is cheap, and this tool checks that yours is well-formed, but it cannot tell you that any assistant will use it.
Only the H1 title is required. A blockquote summary and H2 sections with `- [name](url): notes` entries are recommended. An H2 section named Optional marks links that can be skipped when a shorter context is needed.
Many frameworks answer unknown paths with the homepage or a styled error page and an HTTP 200. Then /llms.txt looks present but contains HTML. Serve the file as static text/plain or text/markdown and make unknown paths return 404.
No. It is an optional companion some sites publish with the full text of their documentation. The tool only reports whether it exists.
