Free SEO tools / Broken Link Checker

Broken link checker for a single page

Enter a page URL. The tool takes the first 25 unique links on that page, same-site links first, requests each one and reports which are broken (404, 410, 5xx, no response), which redirect and which could not be verified because the server blocks automated requests. It checks one page, not the whole site.

Frequently asked questions

Why only 25 links?

This is a free public tool, so each run is capped to keep it fair for everyone. The full-site audit crawls pages and links across the whole site.

A link works in my browser but shows as unverified. Why?

Some servers refuse requests that do not look like a browser (401, 403, 429, 999). The tool cannot tell whether such a link is broken, so it says so instead of guessing.

Should I fix redirecting links?

A redirecting link works, but linking straight to the final URL saves visitors a round trip and avoids breakage if the redirect is removed later.

Do broken links hurt SEO?

They hurt visitors first: a dead link is a dead end. This tool does not claim a ranking effect.

Does it check images, scripts and stylesheets?

No. Only links in <a href> elements.
